New electricity generating capacity is needed – actualities in the Paks II. project and on international level

Dr. Attila Aszódi government commissioner for the maintenance of the performance of the Paks Nuclear Power Plant held a presentation at the Siófok conference of the Scientific Association for Energy Economics, during which he told Europe needs to create new electricity generating capacities in order for the power system to work safely. He also spoke about the actualities of the Paks II. project.

Seismic monitoring network has been commissioned

The new monitoring network was constructed due to the Geological Research Program (part of the construction of the new units) detected the earthquake on Sumatra on 2 March 2016. The data of the five new monitoring stations can be found on the internet.
